性质描述:

无色液体，有刺激性气味。熔点＜-18℃，沸点143℃（102kPa），相对密度0.8909（20/4℃），折射率1.3900，闪点27℃。与乙醇、乙醚混溶，微溶于水，但遇水会分解。

生产方法:

1.乙醇钠法以乙醇钠和氯仿为原料，在60-65℃下反应，生成原甲酸三乙酯粗制品，再经分馏精制得成品。2.乙醇法以乙醇和氢氧化钠代替乙醇钠，采用固-液相转移催化法，催化剂为PTC。3.苯甲酰氯法以苯甲酰氯、甲酰胺和无水乙醇为原料，在催化剂的作用下，生成原甲酸三乙酯、苯甲酸和氯化铵的混合物，经分离得到成品原甲酸三乙酯和苯甲酸。

用途:

医药原料，是抗疟药物氯喹和喹哌等的合成原料。也用于制高聚物、照相药品、感光材料、防光晕染料、花青染料及合成农药等。
