性质描述:

无色透明液体。熔点-103.5℃，沸点59℃（59.1℃），相对密度1.07（20/4℃），折射率1.39737，闪点15℃。有水中分解，溶于乙醇、丙酮、乙苯、苯和氯仿。有刺激性臭味，易流动，易挥发。具有催泪性。

生产方法:

在氯化钙存在下，将氯化氢气体通入甲醇和甲醛的混合液中，在略高于室温的条件下发生醇醛缩合和加成反应而得。向氯化氢发生釜中加入工业盐酸（副产氯化氢尾气亦可），在70℃下滴加硫酸（92%），将发生的氯化氢气体通入装有甲醇、甲醛溶液的反应釜中进行氯化。反应温度控制在40℃以下，甲醇（98%）与甲醛（37%）的重量比为1：2.39。当反应釜吸收氯化氢饱和后，氯化反应完毕。然后静置分层1h，其上层为合成的氯甲醚，下层为酸层，最后将氯甲醚与酸层分离。氯甲醚收率为78%。原料消耗定额：甲醇（98%）0.5t/t、甲醛（37%）1.2t/t、硫酸（92%）3.5t/t、盐酸（33%）2.6t/t。

用途:

活泼的有机中间体。氯甲基化剂，主要用于生产阴离子交换树脂，还用于生产磺胺嘧啶药物等。
